Grand Rounds Training Agenda

"Grand Rounds in the Medical Evaluation of Child Physical and Sexual Abuse"

Sponsored by the Indian Health Service Clinical Support Center

Dates: To be determined individually by student and faculty
Time: Monthly with date and time to be determined
Location: Via modem or internet and conference call

GRAND ROUNDS AGENDA

Cases conducted by participants in the IHS/OVC Child Abuse Project will be sent prior to Grand Rounds date via computer. On a monthly basis for one hour different cases will be sent and findings, legal issues, administrative matters, or and other such topics as they relate to clinical practice in child maltreatment will be discussed. Documentation must be returned to verify attendance.

Objectives:

As a result of having attended this training, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe findings of the case as to normal, normal variant, and/or abnormality
  2. Describe proper treatment and follow-up
  3. Evaluate the quality of case documentation
